Looking Down

The character in the art work appears to be looking down with some resignation at the guy sitting at the table.

I didn't take very many pictures today - but I still ended up with more than one which I rather liked, leaving me undecided which to use for my blip, so, unusually, I have added a couple of extras.  The first one was originally my choice for today's blip - "You Are Here".  I thought it was quite clever of the designers of the poster to get the arrow to point exactly to where the passer by was positioned at the time of my photograph.

I had a splendid day in London.  The main purpose was to visit the "Travel Photographer of the Year" competition in Coal Drops Yard at Kings Cross. I have been wanting to visit this exhibition since it opened on 12th May, but other commitments have made it impossible until today, just a few days before the exhibition closes.  As usual the standard of the images was excellent (so I'll forgive them for not accepting my entry).  While I was there, one of the successful photographers turned up with friends to show off his image.  He kindly posed for me in front of his entry (extra No. 2).

It was a very enjoyable exhibition.

The Kings Cross area was buzzing - almost like pre-Covid days (although I didn't feel uncomfortable - but I still am not tempted to enter indoor restaurants or bars).  People were enjoying the sun while strolling along the canal or sitting in Granary Square, where children were playing in the fountains. It was a lovely summer's afternoon.
