All part of the story

Birds feet

R arrived at 7.30am this morning and sheared the hoggs and the tups.  Same date as last year.  She will come back and shear the Herdies if they are dry.  It rained most of the day but thankfully the shearing is done under cover and the hoggs were in the shed last night keeping dry.  You can't shear a wet sheep.  Well you can but it is not pleasant for the shearer and it means that the fleece has to be dried out before it can be packed away.

So the Hoggs are now Gimmers.  D has been here 5 days out of the last 6, helping and J was here for 2.  We couldn't do this without their help.

It dried up long enough for me to take Coco and catch a blip in the old quarry in the Black Park, filled with Birds foot trefoil.
