Day 445 Birthday gifts

Today I met my friend C for lunch and achieved another post op first in that I drove myself there.  It is actually easier for me to get into the driver's side than the passenger seat .  Now I'm down to one crutch and sometimes walking unaided although I do still have that awful waddle  when doing so.
My friend bought me some lovely gifts: a box of luxury chocolates and a retro compact which I love presented in a holographic stars bag.  I have used the bag and the compact to create this week's abstract.  The theme is 'filter' and although I think that our host Ingeborg would prefer us to make our own filter at the time of taking the photo, I've fallen back on post editing, using the Picasa collage maker to layer a pic of the compact with the a pic of the gift bag, creating a stars filter over the birds.  In extras I've put an inverted colours version which I liked as well
