Sunset

A beautiful sunset from our patio. The sunset builds up and then fades so quickly. The extra was taken only a few minutes earlier.

The gum tree on the left in the extra is the one that has to be removed. Getting the necessary approvals and quotations has taken a surprising amount of my time over the last few weeks and months. Finally we have accepted a quote so now it’s a matter of waiting our turn. It’s sad of course that the tree has to go. But it's dangerous, what the arborist calls ‘over mature’ (a concept one can identify with), and has already shed some branches on our roof and garden.
