Irises in Inverleith Park

Today I offer even more flora, this time from Inverleith Park. There on the boating pond we also saw three of the four cygnets that hatched in the spring. I almost chose one for my blip today, but Mr hazelh selected flowers over birdlife instead. This not quite as stunning a shot as yesterday's fabulous poppies, but the irises are still lovely against the blue sky.

Today I worked mainly on PhD student feedback, and preparation for one of two PhD vivas that I am attending later this week. I also blogged about Marina and Thoko's contribution to the SGSSS summer school on Thursday.

Liz and Tony gave me a welcome break this morning when they called in for coffee after dropping some goods off at the local salesroom. Then have just agreed the sale of their house in Morningside and are busy sorting out all their belongings before they make a permanent move to North Berwick.

I just realised today that I haven't listened to a single episode of the Archers for two weeks. That's how busy I am!

Exercise today: walking (10,185 steps).
