The Lupin and the view

I’ve been coming to this area for many years but today we’ve walked a route that we’ve never done before. The walk started and ended in Grantown-on -Spey, initially through some lovely woodland and then by the river Spey. We stopped for lunch at Cromdale sitting by the Church of Scotland church. We wandered around the well maintained graveyard and looked at the many Grant and Stewart headstones. You can see the church in the extra.

There were so many lupins by the river.

It was a lovely walk.

In the evening we’ve walked into Carrbridge and completed a walk through the woodland. See the deer in the extra.

The fish and chip van was in the village and we stopped for some chips. The black headed gull in the extra would have liked to share them.

Tomorrow we’ll be leaving here but we have another week in Scotland so there will be many more photos to share.
