Friday bottom #36

Standing at the end of the sculpture gallery at the V&A is a magnificent depiction of Samson as he slaughters a couple of Philistines because they were 'taunting him'! It's usually quite difficult to get a good shot of his bum because of the wall behind him and the fact that there's seats either side of him - it feels a bit rude asking people to move so I can snap a bottom blip.

Anyway, today there was no-one there! Snap, snap, bottom done.

The statue was created by Italian sculptor Vincenzo Foggini in 1749. The young Lord Malton purchased it while in Italy especially for his house in Yorkshire. It's a bit bigger than a fridge magnet.

Samson, in all his (naked) glory, can be seen in my Blipfolio here.
