Broad Centurion

An early morning survey in Leicestershire, where despite the forecast promising no more than a 10% chance of rain, it poured!

By late afternoon the clouds had cleared and there were some welcome spells of warm sunshine that brought out a few more garden insects, including the first Meadow Brown of the year and a significant number of Broad Centurion soldier-flies, looking very smart with their metallic green and copper colouration.
