Penistone this week (and on the left, last week)

Today in Penistone (right) and a very different day weatherwise from the blue sky of last Thursday.  Not unpleasant but much more cloud about.  I wanted to try out multiple-exposure images on these building again to see if I could eliminate the shadows in the sky - which I think I’ve done.  I just have to work on the composition now!  No mean feat.  Some people, including GG, can make this technique look so easy, which I can assure you it’s not.  I didn’t get the white building right at all today and gave up in the end.

A few jobs done this morning while I was in Penistone.  I didn’t need cake as I had some left, but it was good to chat to Tracey in the Country Market.  I did buy marmalade, which is something I like but only eat very rarely. Oh and Gary from the camera club spotted me as I was putting my camera away and we had a longish chat while his wife returned from the butchers.  Then Maurice from the Thurgoland Local History came along to the stall where I was buying bread.  I think Thursday is the day to be seen in Penistone.

And a longish chat with Jan this afternoon, though I had to give up in the end as I always have difficulty hearing her.  I think she needs a new phone.
