Arctic Skua

On the shore near Kirkwall. A 'dark morph' bird, they also come in 'intermediate' and 'pale' to suit all tastes. Pretty sure that this bird is one of a pair nesting as I saw it drive away gulls, but I was well clear of the probable nest-site.
