Arriving at the bird hide...

... this morning, I immediately noticed a sparrowhawk busily devouring the last traces of a bird which had clearly been 'breakfast'. Scraps of meat and feathers were still being picked over. I took over forty photos of the scene. 

The large bird clearly knew I was there but, apart from an occasional glance in my direction, it was much more concerned about eating. The blipshot shows one of the first images and I've included the last shot in the extra, before the sparrowhawk calmly strolled a few feet away before flying casually on its way.
