The Picnic We Ate…

At home.

Today was for us a scorcher.. and we decided to go and visit the shade of some trees at Balbirnie Country Park, Markinch.

Pat prepared and packed a picnic. With picnic and water loaded into the car and with the A/C set at 18C we headed off.

Balbirnie is beautiful and richly populated with fine trees. I took 30 candidate Blipfotos. Walking about there was no cooling breeze once you stepped into the sunlight.

We enjoyed our walk, but the lack of breeze in the sun was quite unpleasant.

We were not hungry and we thought that a picnic spot by the sea would be much more pleasant. We drove to several beaches along the coast. However, the traffic and the sheer number of people was inhibiting.

We then decided that home was the place to be. After stopping to refuel, we arrived home and enjoyed our picnic in the garden sheltered by our own trees.

Balbirnie was very quiet. Surprisingly quiet. and today’s Blipfoto shows a backlit Copper Beech.

The one benefit of picnicking at home was the alcoholic libation which appeared to accompany the food.

The temperature in the shade at Balbirnie was 26C.

The camera was my iPhone SE2020 with the 645 PRO app.
