WWT Arundel: Scaly-sided Merganser Flapping

Even prettier plumage patterns in large
Extras:
Redshanks and avocets
Spectacled eider(s): posing & panting
Scaly-sided merganser: shaking & preening

Im and I had a jolly time at WWT Arundel: it wasn't raining (a first for us), and the heat had many of the birds panting.
Since we last went, the reserve has had one section extensively redeveloped with a habitat for the new Dalmatian pelicans, and a new aviary (the 'Coastal Creek aviary') which houses the scaly-sided mergansers, scoters, harlequin ducks, and newly-acquired waders (redshanks and avocets) and spectacled eiders.
The scaly-sided mergansers and (panting) spectacled eiders were my favourites today.
