Eycott Hill Again

A rather different Saturday in that we didn't have to clean the lodge, our visitors are staying for a fortnight, though I did pop out with fresh bedding and had a chat.

I was sitting comfortable watching the new F1 Qualifying when there was a knock on the door. Our painter had come to spend a few hours at a cooler time of day, to finish off and tidy up. He wasn't pleased when I told him the scaffolders had broken the new guttering he but up a couple of weeks ago in his role of tiler.

At 8pm we left him working and took another trip out to Eycott Hill. The low evening light was showing the land formations well. The bumps in the field are actually volcanic lava flows, the softer rock having been worn away leaving these ridges.
