Destinations a plenty.

Well where do I start today, it’s been so hectic.
It started off rather slowly, Darren was up and ready just before 9am, quite late in the morning for him. It was quite a grey morning, which pleased Darren as it meant it was cooler too. We had a walk down the farmers track near the campsite and I was able to do my toilet duties. Back at the caravan we had quite a lazy morning. I went to visit the only other campers on our bit of the site while Darren relaxed in the caravan.
Just before 12 I was bundled in to the back of the car and off we went. First stop was Studley Royal near fountains abbey, unfortunately the grey clouds had disappeared and it was another sunny cloud free day. We spent a few hours at studley Royal before heading to our next destination, pateley bridge. We had a walk alongside the river Nidd with Darren constantly trying to get in the shade. We left Pateley bridge and drove to Scar house reservoir, a fabulous place, it’s a complete mystery to Darren why this area isn’t included in the Yorkshire Dales. We had a good walkabout at Scar house. We left there and called at Middlesmoor, a high up village that as a fabulous view of Nidderdale. We then made our way back to Pateley Bridge where Darren called in to the grocery store to buy a couple of things. The time was now approaching 8 pm and our next stop was Ripon. As you can see we made our way to the cathedral, a magnificent building and with it being bathed in evening sunshine Darren decided this would be today’s blip, though he had options from all the places we visited today.
We got back to the campsite at 9.40, we were both shattered.
