Visiting

Fairly quiet morning, doing shopping for the BBQ tomorrow and then reading, doing some deadheading in the garden and clearing up the kitchen. Kt and I had some home grown salad for lunch then I headed to town to collect A and we went to visit P. Felt pretty hot to me but Kt and A both saying it was much cooler than it’s been recently, and certainly the clouds and breeze increased over the day.
We had some tea and cake with P and mowed his lawn and weeded the patio a bit. He wants to do it all himself as he says he and Diesel enjoy working on the garden together but the weeds are racing ahead of him. He is managing to keep the front nice though and his pots of bedding plants are lovely…he’s keeping them watered this year!
Looked around at all the jobs he’s got on his list….maybe I need to spend some time down here with him helping him sort the spare room and office which are stuffed with things that need cleared…..trouble is I’d go through it like a whirlwind whereas he wants/needs to do it very carefully and slowly. I think we’d both find the experience a bit traumatising!
Dropped A off then headed to book group at DF’s. Only 4 of us but nice to catch up with them and lovely food as usual. We sat outside for drinks and admired her new garden but then came inside to eat as it was definitely getting chillier….the BBQ is going to be challenging tomorrow!
