Iglesia de Santiago La Mayor

I don´t know what it´s supposed to look like - maybe a lion, carved by someone who´d never seen one. The old church of Santiago in Sariego has these capitals on the columns that support the porch. They will not be original to the structure - whatever that means: if the capitals look old enough to be pre-romanesque, and the three windows that I´ve put in extras certainly are, the doorway I´ve also put in extras looks more likely to be 16th century. So the older items may be hangovers from the earlier days of that structure, or they may be fragments of the now-disappeared pre-romanesque church of San Saturnino, just north of Valdediós, which have been salvaged and incorporated.
