Bee on summer drummer

I was delighted to see a bee for the first time on the summer drummer alliums. This one was quite high above me but the tree provided good background. In extras a closer view of the same bee having a good dig in.

Lovely warm temps today, just perfect, possible rain every day for the rest of the week but as we had merely a dribble at the weekend I think we will be grateful for it to refill the water butts and give the garden a good drink.
