Project 365 day 216: Wednesday anemone

Here, on Wednesday, is the shot I didn't take for Tiny Tuesday. I discovered when I went to hang up laundry that a lot Japanese anemones have opened overnight. They are very common in gardens here, but are among my favourite flowers; I love their simplicity, and the stark shadows of the stamens against the rumpled petals.
