Sally Mair - Loving life

Garden Olympics

Not the best of days today weather-wise but the garden needs it I guess.
I topped up the feeders yesterday and today we had a visit, not only from our blue tit family - although this one may in fact be a great tit judging by its tail - but also a squirrel. We don't see squirrels very often and I was very happy to have this one tucking into the peanuts as the birds are really only interested in the seeds and the suet feeders.
I love the position this one is in with one foot on the feeder and the other on the tree and it's tail politely tucked over its personal bits!
We popped out just before lunchtime to buy some gluten free burgers for Sunday's church bbq and on the way back took advantage of a break in the weather to stop at Saughton Gardens for a sandwich lunch. The sun was very warm in between the torrential showers which have continued off and on all day and evening.
We had Zoom bridge this evening with another group of friends which was very pleasant and light hearted, a nice evening.
Stay safe everybody.
