Woken by thunder

... a very loud and sudden crack, around seven this morning! The thunder continued to rumble and roll for the next few hours. It was accompanied by torrential downpours, which have nicely topped up the garden pond and watered the garden. So not all bad!

Next door's sunflowers, peeping over the fence, withstood the rain and smiled through. They do look better against a blue sky, though. What a wet Wednesday!
