Blue hue

Today we visited Arduaine Gardens in Argyll . Situated on the shores of Loch Melfort, halfway between Lochgilphead and Oban, these gardens benefit from the warming effect of the North Atlantic Drift with a range of plants that would normally struggle this fare north. Among those at their best was this Hydrangea macrophylla whose large bright blue blooms caught the eye from a distance.
