Back-blip

Headed over to Coniston today.

Intended to have a coffee at Brantwood but it was silly-busy and bookings only so we wandered down to the jetty (today's blip), watched the Steam Yacht Gondola come in and then drove a short way up the road to Monk Coniston. Admired all the different types of trees, walked around the walled garden and to the folly.

Had a very nice coffee (and huge slab of carrot cake!) at the Boathouse Cafe at Esthwaite water. It was quiet and peaceful, totally different to Brantwood.

Came back via Kirkstone Pass which is always a treat. Would love to fly down there on my bike!

Went to the Boot & Shoe again later - another beautiful mild evening and it was lovely to sit outside chilling and talking twaddle ;-)
