Wound up in Wexford

Mugs

It has rained pretty much incessantly all day, which is good for the garden, but annoying as our gardener normally comes on a Tuesday.  Fortunately, we have been able to rearrange her visit to tomorrow, as we need some help in raking the meadow.

In order to feel we had actually achieved something today we decided to tackle a job that has been on our minds for a few days, and sorted out the cupboard above our kettle, where we keep the stuff for making tea and coffee.

W emptied the cupboard, then together we looked at the many mugs, and decided which ones we were going to keep.  The ones in the photo did not make the cut - so I sent the photo to daughters in Sweden to see if they wanted any of them.

They've requested a selection, which are now added to large pile of stuff to take, and the rest will be dumped on taken to the charity shop.

Clearing some of these out of the cupboard, and also disposing of some very out of date tea bags has meant that we were able to clear a box from the pantry shelf - feels quite satisfying.

I also tackled a couple of minor admin tasks - one of which involved ringing the GP to arrange flu jabs and took ages, but was ultimately successful!

And I finished off with a Zoom session of the Eflute Academy that has helped to keep me enthused with flute playing throughout the last 18 months, but which is gradually becoming redundant as things open up.
