At Seventeen

This afternoon we went for a circular walk from the Cley Marshes Visitor Centre across the marsh to the beach; around three miles.  At the beach we came across a race of sorts so asked what it was; apparently a 198 mile ‘Round Norfolk’ relay starting and ending in Kings Lynn with 17 runners per team.  This stretch was along the shingle beach which is bad enough to walk on; I certainly wouldn’t want to have been running on it.  We also came across these cows that have been grazing on the marsh through the summer; they were looking very relaxed today.

We’re out tonight for a meal; I hope it’s better than the last time we went out when we ended up with a bad meal, a bit of a bad head and Covid.
