The old days

Today I met up with a my sister and a group from Mold camera club who were visiting the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum.  The weather decided to change quite rapidly as we took a guided tour around the outskirts of the Museum which covered the  history of the birth of the town of Ellesmere Port due to the extension of the Ellesmere branch of the canal to transport goods from the Midlands to the docks in Liverpool.  The Museum has made many changes over the years and is still developing its archive of the local history and the canal network history too.  The main picture is of the wall next to porters row which is a row of four terraced houses which are furnished in different decades fixtures and fittings.  The extra collage is the workshop  which is on the opposite side of the Museum and is next to the slip which hauled boats up to be repaired.
