The Final Flowers

I've not many plants still flowering in the garden, my geranium is just about hanging on. I did a little bit of gardening today, I'm trying to just do just a little every day as I'm having an IBS flare up at the moment which leaves me with muscle aches, tiredness and nausea. This afternoon I popped to the garden centre up the road to pick up some low growing plants for next to the pond, the wild flower were too overwhelming right next to it.

Day 553 / Day 64 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
The US is to lift the travel ban on fully vaccinated UK and EU travellers from Nov (still need confirmation that this will include the AZ vaccine).  12 to 15 year olds started receiving their vaccination today. A study by PHE and the University of Edinburgh has found that those classed as clinically extremely vulnerable had 66% protection against serious illness after 2 jabs, compared to 93% protection in people who don't have high risk conditions. A trial is being undertaken in Manchester on using GRT-R910 as a booster vaccination - it's a self-amplifying mRNA second -generation SARS CoV-2 vaccine (aka SAM) and it's hoped it will give longer lasting immunity for a wide number of variants. The Pfizer vaccine has been found to be safe and effective for 5 - 11 year olds, although I suspect it won't be recommended by JCVI given it was a marginal decision for older children.
