Marjorie's ramblings

Remnants

We have had a lot of flowers in our house over the last month. Gradually some of them have died. Tonight I spent time rescuing ones that are still OK and rearranging them in clean vases.

There is the overall effect of a bouquet, but there is also the detail of individual beautiful blooms.

It's been a busy old day. It always is after a couple of nights away.

The most hectic moment was while Mum was in the shower and I was waiting to help her wash her back. The phone went and it was Julie who was not well and needed advice about what to do. Margret (next door) rang the doorbell and I was wearing very little (to save being soaked from the shower).  Take a deep breath!! All was resolved. Julie went to hospital and is fine. Mum was a bit longer in the shower but did not dissolve either.

This afternoon we went to Newcastle to see the eye surgeon for a follow up. He is pleased with the result of the operation and says just to wait for the tardy stitches to rot away.

It was a lovely sunny day for our drive to and fro.
