Practical Magic

By Alice Hoffman. I loved this book which I've just finished. I didn't know what to expect and to begin with I wasn't sure about the magic, but it was I suppose the "practical", non-magical bits which were more important and carried the story along. I picked it up as a 99p Kindle deal of the day and I'm delighted to find that I've got five other novels by this author on my Kindle. It seems that I've read the third Practical Magic book first and I hope that isn't going to matter. It was the first to be written, so that maybe indicates it won't be a problem. I will see!

Otherwise a very quiet day, but spending a day reading is a great way to spend it I reckon, especially when Lexi honours me by sitting on my lap for two good sessions.
