An ordinary life....

Skeleton emerging...

Seems apt with halloween approaching :-)

I've been wearing straight leg jeans for ages.  And ages.  Last week I took a reckless turn an executive decision and ordered a pair of boot cut jeans.  They arrived today.  I like them.  I am wearing them.  Despite the fact that David's been referring to them as bell bottoms all day!

Ok so the manufacturer may have been a little overzealous when pressing them so that the bell bottoms bootcut shape is like triangles coming from the knees a little over-emphasised, but at least they don't have a crease down the front!   I am now scouring the internet for a cheesecloth shirt and some long dangly earrings.  I am losing my mind going to rock this boho autumnal chic! ;-)))

Aside from listening to my trouser legs flapping in the breeze, I spent a relaxing time this afternoon making a Thai green curry.  I used a curry paste that is new to me - Mae Ploy Thai green curry paste - and it is absolutely delicious.  It was recommended by a friend as the closest thing he's tasted to the curries he's had in Thailand and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.  Just a word of caution.  It's hot!  The recipe I was following said to use 50g of the paste.  My friend suggested 30-35g in my first attempt at his recipe, and he was spot on :-). And there's left overs for the freezer.

While the curry was cooking David was in the garden putting the Gin Palace to bed for the winter.  A sad day.  But then I remembered that when spring rolls round again and it's time for the official opening of the GP....it feels like only minutes since we were at this point.  So that a cheered me up!

As did a wee wander in the garden in the late autumn sunshine.  It's a wonderful season.

And now it's time for me and my bell bottoms to retire for the evening...
