... wanted to be first so here he is, the official inaugural image from my new camera.

Actually he was hanging around, curiously watching me unbox and set it up so he was a convenient, though surprisingly willing, model.

I say "surprisingly" since of all the rescue animals in my daughter's household over the years, he has been the most reclusive so his interest and somewhat demanding requests for attention, while appreciated, have been unexpected. All the animals seem to sense something is up and are spending as much time with us as they can before we leave tomorrow morning. It's one of the reasons I refuse to use the term "just a dumb animal". I know several who are smarter than I am.
