Life after Burradoo, NSW

They love a barbeque

I do love a kookaburra except when one tries to take food off the barbeque when I'm cooking. This has never happened at home but it did happen one memorable night when we were staying in a camping ground out in the bush. I was cooking and had to call for reinforcements when one very determined kookaburra kept swooping trying to pick up the meat off the hotplate. Let me tell you how big that kookaburra looked up close and how dangerous its beak looked as it flew towards me at speed. It was the kookaburra's beak V my tongs!
