The future

It took about ten minutes for the future to catch up with me and soak me. If only I could have broken into some sort rapid leg movement, or jog if you will, then I might have avoided it. But that was never going to happen.

It's not as though I wasn't given an early warning of what was to come on my way out. (Extra)
