Rebellion

This little mare, an Icelandic pony, was being shoed when she shied from the farrier.  I don't think that the farrier was doing anything out of the ordinary but here she is being calmed by farrier and the owner's son.  What had been a comfortably setup for the farrier, with some sort of stand to help him with the task, turned into a rather awkward hoof holding affair.

I had spent the morning removing our stair carpet, trying hard not to puncture myself on various gripper rods and tacks, before painting the sides of the steps in preparation for re-carpeting.  I feel quite virtuous . . .
