Knights Templar Church

Year 2 Day 219 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 323 days ago.  UK open. Overseas travel with restrictions.

I love visiting old churches and St Michael's in Garway, Herefordshire, is a gem. One of only six Templar Churches built in England it is the best preserved. The original Church was Celtic, dating back to about 600 A.D., of wooden construction and positioned in the field above the present Church. The first stone built Church on the site of the present church was established about 1180 A.D. by the Knights Templar, who were given the land by Henry II.

After visiting the church I got home before 1.30pm for a delivery of a couple of storage sheds. Again, the instructions were dire and it was a good four hours putting them together. The second wasn't any faster and nowhere near the 15 minutes stated on the box....that must have been by a technician at the factory who won a time trial ! By the time I'd finished it was hammering with rain.
