I get the impression they are being watched from a face halfway up the cliff to the right - someone with a profile very reminiscent of the former French President, Charles de Gaulle...

Today's 'Extras' show the 'face' from the other direction, and the view of the Seven Sisters from the top of the stairway at Birling Gap that gives access to the beach.
