Broederhuis

The Broederhuis Molenberg (nowadays: Joseph Wresinskihuis) is a former monastery in the Heerlen district of Molenberg, located at Kerkraderweg 9.

The brick monastery was built in 1921 and was designed by Frits Peutz. The adjacent Broederschool (a primary school) is also owned by Peutz, as is an extension with a chapel from 1923.

In addition to brick, marlstone has also been incorporated into the building, namely in the plinth and in the pilasters above the round-arched entrance gate, elements that tend towards expressionism.

The building was restored in 2015 and since then it has been used by the Fourth World Movement under the name Joseph Wresinskihuis, after the founder of this movement.

The building is classified as a national monument.
