To The Lighthouse

We all slept late and had a very slow morning.  I could hear music from the church across the road while I was still lying in my bed.

Late morning, we set out to walk over to the next village and then along the coastal path to Tarbet Ness Lighthouse.  The man we chatted to last night suggested that was the best route to avoid the cows and calves on the Port side of the peninsula.  TT and I, with BB in a back pack walked to the lighthouse many years ago, from the Port side.  Our route felt longer and it seemed to take a while before we got out first glimpse of the lighthouse.  BB thought we were never going to get there.  We did eventually.  Such a lovely walk, on such a lovely day.  We walked back along the road, as I was definitely keen to avoid the cows.

After a wee rest, TT and I went to Tain, in search of some provisions for a barbeque, and left BB watching Christmas movies!!.  We then enjoyed our barbie on our terraced decking, with views over to Sutherland – just lovely.  We also enjoyed the special bottle of fizz that I had received for my birthday, and brought with us.

Later TT and I had another evening wander to the other end of the village and then back along the beach and enjoyed the sunset, though it wasn’t quite as impressive as last night.

Here is BB walking to the lighthouse.
