Neighborhood Door

We thought we were back home in Mexico this morning when we spotted this door on our way to family breakfast. I'm not sure the tiles surrounding this weathered door are actually Mexican, there is a lot of Italian influence here as well, but they could certainly fit in at any of the interior towns we visited last year. We often think we are at home while here in Long Beach. Lots and lots of people speak Spanish, many of the houses have Mexican architectural touches, and Mexican food is everywhere. It is no wonder we feel so at home, except for the colder temperatures.
