A day in the life

Let there be light

This bit of my short walk was a part of the railroad structure on Öland. After it was closed down in 1961, some of the stretches was used for roads or, in this case, a bicycle lane. During the five years I've been living here, this stretch has been dark. With high trees and bushes on each side, it's been pitch dark, and a bit scary actually, not many used it during dark evenings.
Someone has decided to put proper lamp posts up and that job was done during summer. But since then, the actual lamps has been missing, -until this week, when this piece of bicycle lane feels safe again.
