Golden tunnel

After a morning dash to get some soft blue sheer ribbon to finish off the larger cake, Chris and Lizzy came to collect all the baked goods and took them to the venue. I was relieved to receive a text letting me know that everything had arrived safely! I can't wait to see them all tomorrow.

Pete and I had a walk at Ferry Meadows to scout out the photo locations, and then had a cup of coffee in the Lakeside Bar. This avenue of trees was perhaps the most stunning assemblage of autumn colour that we came across - the leaves are dropping fairly quickly now and the fiery display won't be with us for much longer.

We also visited the new Farm Shop, which will be worth dropping into occasionally. It will be an outlet for lamb grazed on conservation grassland in the park, as well as stocking many other local products.

This evening Charley painted my nails - they've never looked quite so stunning, painted in soft turquoise with delicate cream patterns, designed to match the jacket I'm wearing tomorrow. I think it's going to be a very happy day...
