Winter coat

The winter chills have arrived. Thankfully the wind had died down this morning but it felt bitterly cold. I was, nonetheless, surprised to see this chap with his big coat on - I was trying not to imagine what sort of beast the fur had originally kept warm.

Earlier I was down at Cramond for parkrun, but not running today. I had a volunteer role, helping to hand out finishing tokens. My hands were freezing, as I couldn’t really wear gloves for that. Otherwise I was well wrapped up in (non-fur)coat, several layers underneath, scarf and hat. Despite the Baltic conditions, it was a beautifully bright day and the views were wonderful. Extra has snow covered hills across the water in the distance.
