A tough little flower

Despite the recent high winds, frost and snow this little geum has continued to flower even if it is on a rather short stem ….. I had to poke the camera in among the leaves to get a reasonable view.

A very chilly start this morning with the temperature just above zero …. I was out a few minutes ago to the post office and the temperature has risen to a balmy 8°

Choir practice has been cancelled tonight so I ought to put my spare evening to good use by writing some Christmas cards.
