Back Home!

Mrs CBL and I are now back home to a warm welcome … from the central heating!  We can control our heating system remotely and so it was switched on from Aberdeen to allow the house to warm up and give us hot water on our return home.

Our power was restored after 50 hours!  There has been extensive destruction caused to property and woodlands in Aberdeenshire.  The electricity board intimated that there had been unprecedented damage to the power lines and the continuing storm force  winds and snowy conditions had hindered the repair work.

We were fortunate to have our power restored as many in our area are still waiting.  Also we are blessed to have family near to home who can look after us.  It’s changed days as now it’s the (relative) youngsters looking after the old ones and doing it so well.

Not a lot of snow has fallen at the coast but I did manage to take a few photos this afternoon and liked this woodland scene.
