Knew exactly how I wanted to do this cross stitch and am really pleased with how it came out.

I was late to yet another party with Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy. Watched the original Swedish versions of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest a few weeks ago and was blown away by it. I've not read the books or watched the American film versions so don't know how they compare. I can recommend but with a warning, they deal with some harrowing issues and are very unsettling in places.

The embroidery seemed quite apt after the Reclaim the Night march over the weekend. The group have been campaigning for women's safety on the streets of Leeds for over 40 years.

Lisbeth Salander has become a bit of a hero of mine ♥
