Cardiff Castle

A day trip to Cardiff to meet up with the Granddaughters. First time in two years. Local coach company run several trips at this time of year to the Christmas Markets. 

I always make an effort for  this one so I can meet up with Rachel and Emma.  The coach was running a bit late and they were waiting for me outside the entrance to Cardiff Castle, and we went into the grounds to get a hot chocolate to start our day, then had a wander around the German style Market area, where there were lovely items on sale. Also  a wander through some of the Arcades. Just with i had thought a bit more about what I could purchase in Wally's Deli in the Royal Arcade. 

Emma had booked a table on my behalf at the Cosy Club for lunch. It was very good. The service was excellent and the lunch was superb value for money. Caught the coach back at 4.30 , and it was gone 8pm when I got home, having had to brave heavy rain from the coach stop. A G&T some chocolate and to bed as it had been a long , but lovely day :-)
