Gazing up

A productive day.  I took the car in for its annual service and while this was taking place met up with a friend in Exeter.  We had a good time browsing some of the shops, visiting the Christmas market and drinking coffee.  I purchased some Christmas presents to, it felt good to have made a start on the ones that will need posting.

Its been a cold, cloudy and sunny day and I stopped off at Woodbury Common on the way back to find a blip for wide Wednesday.  As I was at the Iron Age Fort I thought that many a person from the Iron Age up until today will have visited this area to be with nature and may have looked up at the trees above.  Although the beeches are unlikely to have been there when the fort was inhabited.
