Baddesley Clinton

We met our friends John and Jennie at the National Trust property Baddesley Clinton near Solihull.   We decided to have an early coffee and lunch as the restaurant was comparatively quiet and we could get a table near the door, it was much too cold and windy to eat outside.  So we had a nice lunch and chat and compared baby/young persons photos as grandparents tend to do.

After lunch we went for a walk around the grounds and lake.

On the way home we stopped off at The Maybird Shopping Centre to source some Christmas presents and look for some trousers for me, the latter being perfunctory and the search quickly abandoned in favour of more interesting purchases.

The nice thing about the shopping centre is that all the stores are large and airy, and it was good to see that everyone was wearing a mask.
