It's the Berries

My husband and I had errands in town, and we tried to nab a takeout lunch of fast food, but that didn't work out; the lobby was closed and the drive-through line was just too long to wait. So at first, we resolved to starve, but we do not go gently into that good night. Oh no, we do not.

So we ended up snarfing down the two 19-cent bags of Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies (4 cookies per bag) that we'd picked up at Big Lots on clearance. Hey, sometimes, you do what you have to do to get by. My advice in these troubled and ever-changing times is - always take a snack bar along when you leave the house.

Then we ended up at Buffalo Run Park, where my husband wanted to jog. So he did that, and I walked, while taking pictures and listening to my tunes box. I discovered some wonderful red berries, and found them to be a willing subject. A friend says they are rose hips from a multiflora rose bush. They were the most colorful thing I saw on this day, so here they are!

It's the berries!

My soundtrack tune, since this is about berries, is by the Cranberries. I choose this one: Go Your Own Way, from the Fleetwood Mac cover album, Legacy, A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours
