Little did I know when we moved to Bridge of Allan some thirty years ago that I would be living next to the Allan Water river, one of opera diva Adelina Patti’s favorite songs.  
 
For four years I lived in her former home,  Craigynos Castle, which had been turned into a TB sanatorium for children.
   
It’s a small world.
